I saw this cartoon from the Rev. Bill McLemore, who served as a supply priest many times at St. Nicholas. I just had to laugh because some of these are so true (I’ve gotten more than one “baby” comment in my time as a priest). Hope you enjoy this!

It’s the Holiest of Weeks…

Holy Week is almost upon us!

Our Lenten journey is almost finished, but before we get there, we are invited to the climax of Lent. Many Christians forget that before we celebrate the Resurrection on Easter, we are called to walk to journey to the Cross with Jesus during this week. In fact, we could not celebrate the Resurrection without the events of Holy Week.

At St. Nicholas we have services every night during Holy Week to give us the opportunity to set aside this week as something different, something sacred. Read more

It’s crunch time at the Hill Street house!

Painting is almost finished. The floors have their first coat of stain on them. The tile was laid today. Tomorrow comes the carpet. Only a few days to go and we move into our new home!
