It’s crunch time at the Hill Street house!

Painting is almost finished. The floors have their first coat of stain on them. The tile was laid today. Tomorrow comes the carpet. Only a few days to go and we move into our new home!

Here are some shots of the progress:

I want to take just a second to thank the wonderful Matt Hinnant for all his hard work on the painting of the house. Not only has he been a fantastic guy to work with, he’s also become a good friend. If anyone needs an honest, hard-working, talented, and all-around-great-guy to paint anything for you, give Matt and the folks at Singletary Renovations a call.

This project has been quite stressful, as many of you know, even though it’s a worthwhile and exciting thing. Molly and I could not have done this without the love and support of St. Nicholas. You all have been there to hear our complaints and our excitement. You all have put in many hours of work already in painting and cleaning and bringing us food. We have felt so cared for through this whole transition.

And we need your help again. All week, but specifically on Friday and Saturday, March 26 & 27, we’ll be moving to Hill Street. We have begun the packing process, but with 3 little ones, it’s hard to keep those boxes packed. We could use more boxes, if you have any or can get some. On Friday, we hope to get most of the smaller stuff over there. On Saturday, I could use some strong arms and backs to get the heavier items over (the heaviest things are our washer, dryer, and refrigerator).

If you can help us in any way, please e-mail me by clicking here or leaving a comment in the section below. Lunch will be provided both days, so please let us know you are coming so we can prepare for you.

Thank you all again for all your help in getting us closer to being settled in Hamilton. We are almost home!
