Many thanks to everyone who participated in the flower arranging workshop this past Saturday! Everyone had a great time, learned a lot, and created beautiful arrangements for the altar and the narthex.
Thanks especially to Suzy Eidson, our Flower Guild chair, and Linda Sawyer, our Worship liaison on the Vestry, who organized the event. Also, a very special thank you to Melissa Wells, who led the workshop with her skills.
The art of arranging flowers is such an enhancement to our common life together. The work of our Flower Guild is much appreciated. On Sunday, people were immediately drawn to the arrangements, which brightened up the room. Flowers are also an important way to honor people and give thanks to God.
On the bulletin board in the hallway, you can sign up to offer flowers in thanksgiving for someone or in memory of someone. It’s not an expensive way to show someone you care. If you would like to do this, please sign up for a particular Sunday to offer the flowers. The Flower Guild will do a beautiful job of arranging the flowers for you. If you have any questions about how to offer the gift of flowers in our worship service, please contact Suzy Eidson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
