This week, we hired our very first Administrative Assistant! Please welcome Katie Linney, who will be starting her role at St. Nicholas on July 25. Katie will be working part time (20 hours a week) and will be a support to the Rector and all the ministries of the church. Dorothy Webster will continue to serve as our Financial Administrator, so Katie’s role will be focused on secretarial, administrative, and hospitality tasks. Be sure to stop by or call the church to welcome her!
Here is a quick bio from Katie:
As an Army brat, I was born in Germany and grew up traveling around the Southeastern US. My family settled in Augusta, Georgia. During high school, I attended the Christian retreat Happening at Honey Creek, and later have served as a staff member, camp counselor, and volunteer. In 2008, I graduated from Georgia College & State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Following graduation, I worked for a year as a Volunteer Coordinator for AmeriCorps at Georgia College and then as a Match Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Heart of Georgia, where I helped children and mentors develop lifelong friendships. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, volunteering, spending time with my family, and traveling. I’m excited to start the Administrative Assistant position at St. Nicholas and I really look forward to meeting everyone!
