We had an incredible week of Vacation Bible School! With a record number of adult volunteers (22), teen leaders (17), and children (40+), Pandamania was our most successful VBS yet! Our church was transformed into a bamboo forest with a beautiful waterfall cascading through our sanctuary. It was a sight to behold!

Every day, the children learned a new facet of God: God made you, God listens to you, God watches over you, God loves you no matter what, God gives good gifts (“Thanks be to God!”). They learned Bible stories about Creation, Elijah, Jonah, and Peter. They shot pandas out of a leaf blower, learned the “shouting prayer,” ate altars and whales, hid from the Roman guards, made stained-glass windows, and much, much more.

Watch the video below, put together by Victoria Hankins, which shows everything we did!

Vacation Bible School runs mainly on the generosity of our individual volunteers. We have traditionally not been able to include VBS in our annual budget. As you consider your contributions to St. Nicholas this fall, please remember our great children’s programs and the funding needed to keep reminding kids how much God loves them!

Thanks be to God!
