Having a Bad Day by Bob Hamilton

It is s amazing how many times I have failed in this journey of life. In other words, I have had some bad days. But, God accepts me on those days as well as the good ones. I have come to realize that God’s acceptance is based on my standing in Christ, not the state of my life at a given time. The Cross is like a trading post.

There God took every sin I have ever committed and laid it on Jesus. The moment I began to place my trust in Jesus, God took all of Christ’s righteousness and wrapped me up in it. From that point, He sees me in only one way…in Christ.

Awesome! I realize that my worth isn’t based on what I do but who I am in my relationship with Christ. I used to think that God didn’t care what I do, but He does. Any rewards in heaven will be based on my faithful stewardship here on earth. God wants me to do good works, but He doesn’t want me to depend on them. I do them because of the love that I have for Him.

Jesus can really turn a bad day into a GREAT day!

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Cor 5:21
