This past Sunday, we honored our many veterans during both services. St. Nicholas members Dave Halmrast, Kenny Hall, Joe Torres, Cason Callaway, Bill Eidson, John Brent, Heather Roper, John Blackmon, and Gene Demonet, along with St. Nicholas friend and guest Beau Callaway, all came forward for special prayers and blessings. We thank them, and all men and women who have served our country!

Here are a few shots of the day thanks to Lynn Hall.

All Hallow’s Eve & All Saints

We had a tremendous crowd at our Trunk or Treat event last weekend to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve, aka Halloween. This is always a great way to invite people into our doors, many of whom have never been to St. Nicholas before. It was a great event, and many thanks go to Michelle Moody and all the volunteers who decorated their trunks, donated candy, made desserts, or were present to hand out pizza and goodies to everyone! Well done, good and faithful servants!

Then, last Sunday, we celebrated All Saint’s Day and were reminded that all of us are saints to God. We processed to the Memory Garden at the beginning of the liturgy and remembered those saints who have gone before who serve as the “cloud of witnesses” who surround us and encourage us.

Below are pictures from both celebrations, thanks to photographer Lynn Hall!
