Saturday, March 5 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas

Each time we attend a worship service, the altar is carefully appointed. Shining brass candles are lit, altar hangings and vestments in appropriate liturgical colors are in place and the elements for the celebration of the Eucharist are resting on the credence table and altar. Pristine white linens are at the ready.

This is the work of the men and women of the Altar Guild, working in pairs, under the direction of Father Jeff. It is joyful work, done with reverence and prayer.

The Altar Guild invites you come “behind the scenes” and see how this work is accomplished. Whether you are new to the Episcopal Church or a longstanding member, this demonstration will give you a new perspective on the Eucharistic celebration. While there is absolutely no obligation to join, you might find that you, too, have a calling to this holy ministry.

Please plan to join us. A light lunch will be served at noon.
